I´m Juan Carlos Asorey, photographer specialized in architecture, interior design and landscaping photography. My job is to capture the elegance and unique essence of each space, transforming the creative vision of architects, builders, decorators and interior designers into captivating images, understanding the importance of conveying the essence of each project.
My appropach goes beyond a simple photo; I seek to create a visual experience that highlights the details, light and atmosphere of each environment. Having me means having an ally committed to highlighting the quality and originality of each work.
From residential to commercial projects, I am available to collaborate with different types of clients, from architects, interior designers, landscapers or real estate developers to construction professionals, tourism, catering and, in general, with those companies or professionals who value the aesthetics of their brand image and require photographs that not only tell a story, but also boost their presence in the market.
Something more personal
I was born in Caracas (Venezuela), although I have been in Galicia since I was very young. Resided in A Estrada, a village in the province of Pontevedra just thirty kilometers from Santiago de Compostela.
I’m one of those who thinks that you have to be serious and rigorous at work but also that you have to try to lead life with a little humor.
Among my hobbies I would highlight reading, music, gardening... And I love animals, especially dogs.
value family very much, your own and also the one you choose.
I speak Galician (mostly), Spanish and I get along well with English.
I love portraying abandoned or ruined places, as well as nature and landscape photography, be it natural or urban.
From the abandonments series "Priest's house"
Urban landscape (A Guarda, Pontevedra)
Natural landscape (Lires beach, Cee, A Coruña)
Past and present in photography
My relationship with photography comes from childhood. In our house it was always customary to have and take family photos of all times. And this, taking into account that we didn't have smartphones or digital cameras as we do today, I think it has its merit. In this regard, to say that the first person who made this possible was my father, a reference and instructor for me in the world of photography. He gave me my first two cameras, obviously analog.
In any case, I was not aware at the time that photography meant much more to me than just a hobby. In fact, my initial studies were in the field of electronics, something I never got to work on. Years later, I began to realize that my future lay in the world of image. This led me to study editing and video editing, graphic design (specialty in which I'm an Auxiliary Technician) and finally photography, specializing in architectural photography.
I have worked as a press photographer for several years, a job that brought me experience and baggage in various photographic specialties.
Currently I also collaborate with several stock photography agencies such as Shutterstock, Getty Images or Adobe Stock, among others.
My father was also very passionate about this subject and, at one point in his life, he did not hesitate to train and study photography, which allowed him to work in one of the most important photographic laboratories in Caracas at the time.
